In the 80s and 90s, certain films used shock value as entertainment.
Queer characters โ especially young female ones โ were sometimes placed in scenes that were clearly meant to provoke, confuse or sexualize rather than tell real stories.
Today, many people look back at those moments and feel uncomfortable, angry or even hurt by what was normalized back then.
But we want to talk about their impact.
Australia is introducing a law that restricts social media use to people aged 16 and above.
For LGBTQ+ teens, social media can be a lifeline โ a place to explore identity, find community, or just feel less alone. But others argue that social media can also be toxic, especially for mental health.
Iโm curious:
Do you think this age restriction will protect LGBTQ+ youth, or could it actually harm them by cutting them off from safe spaces online?
Australiaโs 16+ social media rule โ good or bad for LGBTQ+ youth?

Coming out used to be one of the scariest things anyone could do. But today, with more visibility, social media, and supportive spaces, is it actually easier? Or is it just a different kind of pressure?
I want to hear your experiences. Was coming out easier for you? Harder? Or is it still terrifying no matter the time?
Coming Out Today โ Is it easier or harder than before?

Many Muslim women who love women often feel torn. There is this constant pressure, feeling like you have to choose one side over the other. But is that really true? Do we have to choose?
How do you deal with this tension? Have you found ways to reconcile your faith with who you are? I would love to hear your thoughts and stories โ looking forward to an honest and open exchange. โจ
